Kakbushundi once reached Devarshi Narada in the Raja Sabha of Videha Naresh Bahulashv. He had a yearning in his mind, so he asked him to Narada. He asked that “Devarshi! The glory of God's feet is immense. Ahilyadi was immediately saved by her contact in the incarnations of Lord Rama etc.
Yogi people also yearn for their company, then tell me what was the virtue of Kaliya Nag that God kept dancing on their ends for hours. Divine beads were adorned on the forehead of Kalia Nag, whose touch would have made the soles of the lotus like feet (from blood) even more red, the original originator of all the arts started dancing on his forehead, how did he get such good fortune ” |
Narada ji said, "It is a very ancient thing, first, in the Manvantar of Swayambhuva Manu, a monk named Vedashira was doing penance in a part of Vindhyachal. A few days later, Ashwashira Muni also came next to him with a desire to do penance.
Vedashira Muni did not like this, he said to Ashvashira Muni in a rage like a snake, “Brahmin Dev! Are you not getting any other place for austerity in the whole world that you have come here? You will meditate here, it will not be right because it will disturb my solitude ”. At this Ashwashira also got upset and started saying "Munishreshtha!" All this land belongs to Maha Vishnu Lord Narayana Madhava and hence its name is also Madhavi.
This is not your or my ancestor's land. Before this, it is not known how many sages must have meditated here. Knowing all this, you are in vain like a snake here. You must live as a snake. Go, you become a snake and you will always be afraid of Lord Vishnu's vehicle Garun ”.
Vedashira Muni started shivering in anger. In this anger, he told Ashwashira Muni that "You believe as if you came here roaming with this mischief." This venture of anger and taponas on small things, this behavior of yours is like a crow. Therefore, on this earth you are like a crows in clamor, so go now you become like crows ”.
Seeing the bad state of those two sages, being high spirits at high altitude, ready to destroy themselves in anger, the merciful God immediately appeared there. Seeing God in front of them, both of them sage fell at his feet. He was deeply regretting his mistakes. There were tears of guilt in the eyes.
God explained and comforted them. He assured Vedashira Muni to be self-benefiting in the next life as a Kaliya Nag and to Ashwashira Muni to be Kakabhusundi. After this Ashwashira Muni was born on the Neel Parvat as Sakshat Yogiraj Kakabhushandi, who narrated the story of Ramayana to Mahatma Garuda. And he saved Vedashira Muni as an incarnation of Lord Krishna.
